Who is Your Favorite Saint?

Make a collage of holy cards, relevant symbols, artifacts,
sacramentals and photos of your favorite saint. Click here for a sample.

(Quality photographs, color copies or printed scans of these
original items can be cut and pasted into the collage.)

Be sure to include at least these 3 things:  

  RULES:

1. Any ONE saint can be chosen as YOUR FAVORITE
SAINT, regardless of the month the Feast Day occurs.

 2. One entry per child OR one family entry.  Individual
submissions will be judged separately from family submissions.

3. Collages must be original (separate pieces are securely
glued), although the images can be color photographs,
photocopies or quality printed scans of actual holy medals,
holy cards, sacramentals and other relevant artifacts and text.

4.  Collages will not be returned.  Please take your finished
collage to a color copy centre or take a home scan to retain
your own copy.  Send in the original collage.

5.  All collages are to be 8.5”x11”.  It is recommended that
the base is cover stock, construction paper or thin cardboard.

6. Text on the collage must be legible.  Text can be printed by
an adult for individual submissions under age 7, but text should
be dictated by the child. Text can also be printed by computer.

7. Take care to package your collage to survive Canada Post! 
Use a stiff envelope, or insert 8.5”x11”cardboard into the
envelope, if you don’t want your collage to be bent!

10. Entries must be postmarked for November 1, 2007
to be eligible for this contest.

11.  Individual submissions will be judged separately from
family submissions.  Number of prize-winning categories
will depend on number of entries received.

12. Winners will be identified online by first name and last
initial, city and state/province.  Winners will be notified by
email, no later than Nov. 22, 2007.

13. Prizes will be surprise selections of Arma Dei products
and shipped at Arma Dei’s expense.  All prizes are final and
may not be exchanged. 

14. Entries will be judged upon the following criteria:

1. Accuracy and depth of research, clarity of text
2. Originality of celebrating ideas and intercessory prayer
3. Effort and care taken and overall appeal and look of
   layout
4. Strength of conviction in support of your Saint!

 TIPS:  

 Fill the page!  Add as much detail and as many colorful
textures and images as possible.

1. Remember that text and artwork can be reduced to
   fit maximum content into the collage, as long as the
   copies are good quality and legible.
   
2. Selections of text should be relevant, interesting,
   “quick and to the point”.
   
3. Search online for information and pictures of your saint.
   
4. Homeschoolers, CCD, classrooms:  encourage kids to
   choose different saints.  Make a color photocopy of
   each collage and keep a class set for reference in your
   class library!
