*Note: ccc= The Catechism of the Catholic Church
The Bible
The task of giving an authentic interpretation of the Word of God, whether in its written form or in the form of oral tradition, has been entrusted to the living, teaching office of the Church, known as the Magisterium. (CCC 84-95). Communion
Christ, our Redeemer is truly present, body, blood, soul and divinity in the consecrated host and wine; Those who receive Holy Communion participate in Redemption (Lk 22: 19-20, Mt.26: 26-28 CCC 1322-1419)
Sacraments
Christ instituted seven Sacraments, they are:
- Baptism (Mt.29:19, Jn.3:5, Mk.15-16, CCC 977-78)
- Confirmation (Acts:14-17, 9:17-19, 10:5, 19:5, Ti.3:4-8, CCC 1212, 1303)
- The Eucharist (Jn.6:25-71, Mt.26:26-28, CCC 1211, 1324)
- Reconciliation(Jn.20:21-23, Prv.28:13, Mt.9:6-8, CCC 1446-1453)
- Anointing of the Sick (Mk.6:13, James.5:13-15, CCC 1520-23)
- Holy Orders (Gen.14:18, Heb.5:5-10, Lk.22:19, Acts 6:6, 14:22,23 CCC 1544-64)
- Matrimony (Mt.19:1-10, Mk.10:2-10, Eph.5 CCC 480-484)
The Holy Virgin Mary
Is immaculate and was conceived without a trace of Original Sin. At the end of her life Mary was assumed into Heaven, both body and soul. (Lk.1:38, 45, 48; Jn .1:14 CCC 1613-40)
Magisterium
Infallibility is first of all, a gift to the church. The Pontiff enjoys infallibility in virtue of his office, when he proclaims, by a definitive act, a doctrine pertaining to faith or morals. When the church, through its Supreme Magisterium proposes a doctrine “for belief as being divinely revealed,” and as the teaching of Christ, “it must be adhered to win the obedience of faith” (CCC 880-896).
